Contribution

In addition to providing photos to this website so that they can be featured in the gallery. Perhaps the best form of contribution is to provide the data for your immediate family for the family tree web-application found on the genealogy page. Once you begin to use the family tree web-application, it becomes pretty straight-forward and intuitive.

The data which is of most importance is as follows:

  • Full name of family member
  • Date of birth
  • Place of birth
  • Profession
  • Date of marriage (if applicable)
  • Date of expiry (if applicable)
  • Place of expiry (if applicable)
  • …And any additional information which we can keep on record

Please send this data to me via email or via Telegram so that I can continue building our tree.

Note: You must have a login created to begin viewing all of the data in the family tree web-application. To request a login, please contact me via Telegram and we can get you setup.

The GEDCOM Standard

The information that you provide into the HuMo-gen family tree web-application is securely stored in a database which powers the web-application. All data can be exported into the standardized, universal Genealogical Data Communication format, also known as GEDCOM. The GEDCOM format is an open and de-facto specification that allows for the easy transfer of genealogical data between various genealogical software solutions which recognize and abide by the GEDCOM format standard. When this website was created, this format was highly considered and sought out. In the event that we must transfer our data to a new software solution, it is comforting to know that the solution we are using today makes that possible.

Tutorials and How-To Information…Coming Soon

The plan is to create and publish how to documents and, hopefully, videos on how to use the HuMo-gen family tree web-application. If you would like to volunteer to create such information, your time and contributions will be greatly appreciated.
